Grandmother's decorative blankets 2005 – 2006
A compilation of colour portraits of a grandmother and granddaughter. Using natural daylight, shadows of blankets of various type and size are projected on different body parts and faces. The blankets are an earnest family tradition, a family treasure that is passed down from generation to generation. The blankets are placed on the most important and most sacred place in dwelling. The metaphorical blankets created by shadow play are projected on particular body parts after surgery.
